Cyworld Z signs a strategic partnership with Berry Store

On January 19th, Cyworld Z and Berry Store signed a strategic partnership together.

Cyworld Z’s representative said: “The largest shareholder took the lead personally with the goal of opening Cyworld Z successfully. Cyworld Z has reformed the blockchain business to expand the blockchain business along with the Cyworld Z service release. So, Cyworld Z has nominated Hoju Han, Berry Store CEO, as the blockchain business director.“

Along with this recruitment, Berry Store and Cyworld Z joined for a partnership project, Cyworld Z and Berry Store planned to diversify their business and build a new system using the blockchain and NFT.

Cyworld held an event that past users can search for 3 random photos uploaded on their Cyworld account. Cyworld recorded 4 million 950 thousand users visit in one hour. They announced a social media revival after the advent in the MBC “Hangout With Yoo” Acorn Festival that makes 3 million people connect online.

Moreover, Cyworld, which was initially managed by the SK communication, was taken over by Cyworld Z. The SK chairman noticed the reopening of Cyworld, and he said on the SBS show “Korean Idea League”: “It would be amazing if a new kind of social media were created with good intentions”.

With the partnership with Cyworld, Berry Store is planning to introduce its platform to Cyworld users. Through this partnership, Berry Store hopes to build and expand its new ecosystem.
